Cloud 9

Cloud 9 is a new restaurant in Batumi, Georgia designed by ROOMS, in the building by  J. Mayer H. The inspiration for the name and for some elements of the design concept came from Buckminster Fuller's work. He named his proposed airbone habitats created from geodesic spheres- Cloud Nine. Cloud nine also means euphoria or bliss, so it can be interpreted diversely. The atmosphere is very white with Pharmacy like cabinets, giving the space a bit of a laboratory feeling. Some accented colors are scattered around like the bar in reddish orange, chair cushions in fuchsia and Blab Italia yellow tiles in bathrooms. Konstantin Grcic's chair one is used throughout the space, which again is connected to the theme of Fuller's geodesic spheres.
